Title 24 (Check this page often for new updates) Recent changes will require all installations and upgrading of HVAC equipment to meet the new standards of title 24. This will require contractors to bring ductwork into compliance and reduce the air leakage. To do this, there will be required testing. Building permits are required, although it is anticipated by both the state and our local building officials fewer permits will be obtained. The Real Estate Agents involved in transactions with HVAC systems installed after 10/1/2005 will be concerned with disclosure.
